My True Love – English Story

Chapter 1 – The Lonely Girl

Liza was only twenty-four. She was young, she was beautiful, and she was very smart. She wanted to study more. She wanted to become a scientist. That was her dream. But her dream was far away. Life was not easy for her.

Her mother had died four years ago. Liza loved her mother very much. After her death, the house became dark. Nobody cared for Liza. Her father was alive, but he was not kind. He drank alcohol every day. He shouted at Liza. He never asked her how she was. He never asked her what she wanted. He only wanted money.

Sometimes Liza sat in her room and cried. She held her books in her hand and said, “Mother, if you were here, I would not feel this pain. If you were here, I could study without fear.” She looked up and imagined her mother smiling at her. That memory gave her a little strength, but only for some time.

Her father’s voice was always hard. One evening he said, “Liza, stop wasting time. Stop dreaming about school. Go work in a café. Work three shifts. Bring me money. I want to drink in peace.” Liza’s eyes filled with tears. She said, “Father, I want to study. I want to make my life. Please let me.” But he shouted, “Enough! No more study. No more dreams. You will work. That is final.”

Liza felt broken. She sat alone and whispered, “Why is life so cruel to me? Why is nobody here to understand me?” She missed her mother every day. She felt her world had no light.

But one person still gave her hope. His name was Peter. He was poor like her, but his heart was full of love. He always told her, “Liza, don’t give up. One day we will be free. One day you will become what you want.” Liza listened to him and cried, but his words gave her strength. She thought, “If Peter is with me, maybe my life can change.”

Her father never liked Peter. He never wanted Liza to even say his name. He told her, “That boy has nothing. He is poor. He cannot give you a future.” But Liza’s heart knew the truth. She said to herself, “Peter has no money, but he has love. That love is real. That love is stronger than everything.”

And so, Liza’s days went on. Pain at home, hope in her heart, and tears in her eyes. She lived between fear of her father and the dream of her mother. She did not know what tomorrow would bring. She only knew one thing—her life was about to change.
